Dr. Ipson

Hi!

I’m Dr. Jarom Ipson. I have always had an interest in health and nutrition with a major interest in living a long healthy life. I didn’t grow up thinking I would be a doctor but always just happened to be in the right place and have doors open for me. This lead me to graduate from Arizona State University with an emphasis in Biology and then going on to medical school at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. At SCNM I was able to learn about the amazing ability of the body to heal, recover and improve.

My favorite thing about being a doctor is when my patients come back or call into my office and say how great they feel, their pain is gone, or they were able to return to the activities they enjoy most. To do this I work with my patients nutrition, balancing hormones, stimulating the body to heal properly. I love educating my patients and others. I know that I am limited by how many people I can see in my office but enjoy sharing with large groups. I also love being able to explain with patients one-on-one helping them to better understand how their body works. Apart from my medical school training in natural primary care I have received extra training and focus my practice on hormones for men and women, joint tissue regeneration, anti-aging, natural aesthetics, nutrition, and digestive issues.

The best part of my life is being a husband and father. And apart from being a doctor I enjoy sports, exercise, serving at church, cooking, and gardening.

Looking back at my childhood, it’s no surprise I found my passion in naturopathic medicine. My family is full of health professionals such as doctors, acupuncturists, nutritionists, midwives, and herbalists. Early in life I learned the value of complimentary, holistic care. I always knew that I wanted to work in natural medicine, but it wasn’t until I moved to Arizona that I found that the naturopathic profession combined all of my interests in acupuncture, nutrition, and botanical medicine.

While attending Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, my dedication solidified as I learned that naturopathy is not just an alternative to prescription drugs and surgery, that it actually treats the root cause of disease. In this way, patients heal from the symptoms that plague them, in addition to healing the deeper, underlying disease processes that caused the symptoms to appear in the first place. This complete health transformation is the reason I love natural medicine. I love taking the time to listen to my patients, finding the root cause of illness, and treating each patient as the individual that they are. I love working side-by-side, empowering my patients to have more energy, more satisfaction, more vitality, more joy, more capability, with the goal that they achieve their highest potential and live the best life possible.

I am trained in general medicine and have a special interest in women’s health, hormonal imbalances, thyroid disorders, digestive disorders, diabetes type II, weight loss, cardiovascular disease prevention and stress reduction. In addition to my training as a Naturopath, I have received certification in botanical medicine and have worked as a nutrition coach since 2006.

I look forward to meeting you and the journey of health that we will begin!
